ASYLUM
Many immigrants flee their home country due to persecution and seek shelter in the United States. At Just Immigration, we will help you understand whether seeking asylum may allow you to remain in the U.S. Filing for asylum is NOT always the best option for everyone and can have serious ramifications over your future immigration proceedings. If other lawyers have advised Asylum as your best option, get a second opinion from us.
FAMILY-BASED VISAS
Filing a petition on behalf of your relative is the first step in helping them immigrate to the United States. We guide citizens and permanent residents through the process of petitioning for their family. We aim to make the process simple from pre-application to immigration interview, and every step in between.
MARRIAGE-BASED IMMIGRATION
To promote family unity, U.S. immigration law allows U.S. citizens and permanent residents to petition for their foreign-born spouse to live permanently in the United States. The law also permits a U.S. citizen to bring their fiancé to the United States in order to get married. We have the expertise to guide you from pre-application through to your interview with the consul. Marriage-based visa filing can be difficult and may require substantial documentation depending on the circumstances of your case. Families should be together, and we have a track record of success helping them unite.
NATURALIZATION
Naturalization means becoming a U.S. citizen. We love helping our clients gain full citizenship. For many immigrants, the complex naturalization process can be a source of anxiety. We aim to ease this worry by preparing your application, providing you educational materials for the English and Civics test, and guiding you through the citizenship interview process.
EMPLOYMENT-BASED IMMIGRATION
Foreign workers with skills or expertise valuable to American companies may qualify for visas under the H-1B, L, and E visa categories. However, each visa is significantly different, with varied wait times depending on the immigrant’s country of birth. We can help guide you through your visa application process so that you make the right decision for you and your family.
EB-5 IMMIGRANT INVESTOR PROGRAM
The EB-5 program was created by Congress in 1990 to stimulate the U.S. economy through job creation and capital investment by foreign investors. Under this program, investors (and their spouses and unmarried children under 21) are eligible to apply for Green Cards, if they make the necessary investment in a commercial enterprise in the United States, and create or preserve 10 permanent full-time jobs for U.S. workers. At Just Immigration, we have extensive experience documenting sources of funds for the EB-5 petition. If you are interested in acquiring a Green Card through investment, contact our office today.
WAIVERS
If you are already in the US without authorization, we may be able to help you get out of the shadows. The “Provisional Unlawful Presence Waiver” is available for immigrants whose family members would experience significant hardship if the immigrant was forced to leave the United States. If you are considering this route, contact us first so that we can walk you through your options, and determine whether a waiver can help in your unique situation.
U-VISAS
If you are an immigrant and have been a victim of a crime, there are laws in the United States designed to protect you. Through cooperation with law enforcement, a U-Visa may allow you and your family to remain legally within the United States. To successfully apply for this visa, several legal requirements must be met. Contact us today so we can get you the justice you deserve.
VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN ACT (VAWA)
The Violence Against Women Act (VAWA) allows an abused spouse or child of a US citizen or lawful permanent resident to self-petition for immigration status in the United States. We are passionate about advocating for abuse victims, and have partnered with several not-for-profit organizations who support survivors. We offer free consultations to all survivors, flexible payment plans, and low-cost legal services to those in need.
